Different studio but the key staff are the same. The animation looks great from the trailer though.
That being said, season 2 is going be completely different from the first one (plot, pace, etc.) so it will be interesting to see how people will react.

It’s been confirmed to have same staff for a while now. Aside from some lighting differences the art style looks similar to Season 1.

From the pv it looks as good or even better than season 1, hopefully, it remains consistent and the visuals don't crumble in the latter half of the show like S1.

Can't wait for the dumb studio wars, even tho s1 and 2 have literally the same staff,

looks like it already started.

You can feel that MAPPA made a lot of effort to look like WIT's work, however I agree that it's going to be different and that there won't have been another studio that would have animated season 2 better than WIT. I went to rewatch the trailer of season 1 and we can feel the difference in level of the two studios, WIT is much higher

I don't understand why MAPPA monopolizes the projects previously carried out by WIT. Snk and now Vinland Saga

What are you barking ??? It’s the same staffs who worked in season 1 are doing season 2 .
Mappa made a lot of effort ??? Lol what kind of drugs are you even consuming.

You need to understand that Studios aren’t the mainly responsible for the quality infact it’s the staffs who are mainly responsible for the quality of a show .

Mappa never monopolised anything it’s a studio contract and the director of Vinland saga is an employee of Mappa and Twin engine is the main producer. Studio doesn’t matter

There are several reasons why
- Shuhei Yabuta (director) is now a MAPPA employee
- MAPPA are now accepting projects from different companies (e.g. Shueshia, Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Netflix) rather than letting their directors develop their own projects. The fact that MAPPA is doing 2 ex-WIT projects is probably a coincidence.
- WIT doesn't normally do sequel anime series. AOT was an exception because of the amount of money they got due to Blu-ray sales of S1. WIT wanted to do a variety of shows with different genres to avoid TYPECASTING (which kinda didn't go that way due to AOT; THEY DIDN'T WANT TO BE KNOWN AS THE AOT STUDIO)

I suggest watching these videos:

But the most important thing you should take from the studio change is this:
THE CORE STAFF MATTERS MORE THAN THE STUDIO. In this case, the core staff remains the SAME. The director, character designer, and chief animation director (the most important staff members of animation production) are the SAME.

The quality is still as good. There are some changes, But I think that actually fits the vibe of the story that's gonna be adapted.

Studio is just an office for those guys to sit and work. There is nothing like, change in studio will completely change everything. As long as the key staff working in this project remains same, nothing major will change.

We should be rejoicing that a season 2 is finally coming rather than cursing MAPPA for monopolizing. And I dont see anything wrong if MAPPA makes a lot of anime, as long as they give us something good.

I just learned that WIT studio had as a principle not to make sequels and that snk was an exception. So yes it makes sense for MAPPA to continue these projects. I am one of those who did not appreciate the change of drawings in snk s4 and where we feel a drop in quality, but it is true that here we feel that the drawings of the two seasons are similar so I hope season 2 be as well done as season 1

I'm not completely well-versed in this part but I know the WIT isn't part of the production committee for the first 3 seasons, hence why they gave AOT away after S3 since they are losing a lot of money. But what I heard was that the only part of AOT (at least in S3) WIT is profiting off are the Blu-ray sales. Unfortunately, the Blu-ray sales for AOT were decreasing with every season, because of the increasing popularity of streaming services.

The key staff is still the same. The studio name literally means nothing considering that a large chunk of animators in the industry do freelance work or float around between studios. A studio is just a production house, a name under which different animators have gathered. That's it. Studio name means literally nothing, all that matters is the staff working on a show. If a completely different compositing team worked at Ufotable inhouse with no knowledge of their previous compositing process, then obviously their anime would look different. Mappa's name means nothing in this situation because the staff is the same.
